the 15th of August

We should not forget them whom we never remember in the independent twelve months in a year. The martyrs are left forgotten due to our independence of choosing what to remember and what not.

Yet, without any care, with a brazened face, we stand tall every year, we stand optimistic in every August, with sheer traits of coloured optimism and multicoloured fellow feeling and howl - "Happy Independence Day, India!"

Roll India! Roll!

Netaji is a forgotten hero!

Gandhiji appears to be a bald-headed nihilist!

We pay tribute to the Indian National Flag this way!

Still... we often criticize, more often beat the waifs for holding the flag upside down.

.......................................................

How long would we enjoy ourselves for being politically saffronized, politically green, politically white and politically in-dependent?

Today celebrating Independence or Republic day has become just a ritual with no heart & soul.

I totally understand your point.....celebrating Independence day or Republic day is nothing short of a joke in today's world. Really sad state of affairs!!

When we achieved something without feeling pain, then the value of something is nothing.
