... WE did it...! we DID it...! we did IT...!

We achieved this 28 years ago...

We had to achieve this one... ICC World Cup 2011...

The retrospection of 1983 is finally in all glory, fortune and flavour in 2011. India has won the World Cup Cricket 2011 after much desire and doubt.

It was a game of cricket worthy of final, and Team India, the Men in Blue, have made it worthy enough!

Dhoni has become special in his innings and made a captain's knock. His innings knocks off the wall of Sri Lanka. Yuvraj has been "yuvrajakiya". I am deeply sorry for Sri Lanka, who fought much but could not fight it out till the last moment. Who can forget the innings Mahela played today and the emptiness stamped on his face in the long run?

Gautam Gambhir's statement can easily sweep one's mind with strong emotions...

And, one thing we should never forget –

Let us all pay tribute to the genius, the living legend of Cricket – Sachin Tendulkar – who had everything achieved, however, the World Cup was not within his folder. He failed today to prove who the real Sachin is, though, through the olympian tournament, he has come up quenching his hunger of the willow blade. The cynosure of all eyes has at last acquired the cherry on his cake.

Crackers are doing the rest of the best to hit the country's sleep over the fence. A National Holiday may turn up soon.

Let all of the night go overnight... I can't sleep tonight as I may not ever forget the tears of joy in the maven's eyes.

Team India's triumph will be etched in our memories forever. We are very happy and proud of our team. The unbridled emotions of victory have cast a spell of magic, like we see in a fairy tale. It has made the impossible possible opening the pathway to our dreams. A writer experiencing a temporary phase of inertia has been impelled into powerful creation. Probably the melancholic gap has been filled up by now. The pen is doing the talking here like the bat in the field. Kudos to the bluestars and the author who has penned such a wonderful tribute to them.
